MANOR DESIGNS STUDIO

Well? Here we are! After almost a year, I can finally present Manor Designs’ headquarters. The biggest struggle with this office is that it is right off of the front door, so not only did it have to be as functional as an office but it also has to look beautiful and cohesive with the rest of the first floor. It is one of the first rooms that you see when you come in and also has clear lines of sight to the dining room kitchen and living room.

I wanted this room to feel like a vintage study with light + feminine touches, so we added the built-in shelves and some beadboard to give it some decorative accents. I went to some local antique shops and worked to get these looking just right to fit the overall look and feel of this room. I may have “finished” decorating them only to redo them completely 2 months later. Sometimes you have to live with something for a bit to know if it’s (not) right. By adding the drapes we softened the space and accentuated the beautiful windows, which were the focal points around which I arranged the furniture.

With this arrangement we could still use it as a formal sitting room, but is most importantly a beautiful place that I get to work on building my business every single day.
