You didn’t think I wouldn’t go all out for this room did you?

I wanted a room that I loved walking into, no matter what heinous hour in the middle of the night it might be. And I also wanted a room that wasn’t too masculine or feminine, that featured pieces that felt timeless and that we would also be able to incorporate into this kid’s rooms years to come.

Formerly the primary bedroom, I decided to make this first-floor guest room special. And step one? The paint color.

 

 

While this room didn’t change in size at all, it feels sooooo much better in this layout. Originally, the closet was a build-out as soon as you walked into the door, so instead of the room you immediately saw a wall. We moved the closet to both sides of the window and a storage bench in between to keep that natural light.
