SPRING PORCH MUST-HAVES

I absolutely love this time of year, and I’ll risk repeating myself for the millionth time but we spend as much time outside as possible when we can! So we want our outdoor space to be as comfortable and welcoming as possible when we do.

Our front porch isn’t very large, but it is big enough to feature a few beauties each season. And to get it set up for Spring doesn’t take a ton of different pieces. A few essentials and staples and you’re set. I use my staple doormat (that I do for every season) and layer it with a lighter colored outdoor rug (usually a 3×5). Add a few planters and you’re set! I also love to layer the planters and textures. Sticking with neutrals are a great way to pairing, that way you know they will go well together. These wicker planters are another staple, and layering them with smaller pieces are a great way to add dimension.

And don’t forget your local nurseries! I have one here close by our house that has the most beautiful small planters for inside and outside. I’m using a few for the herbs I’ll be putting on our back porch this year. That way you can also pick up some flowers to put in the planters you just got for your front porch too. Adding as much green and blooms as possible is key! It’s Spring for goodness sakes! Here are some finds to get you started.
